Tonks Talk 4/2/22 Sid, Annie, and Amber pt2
Good morning, and a very happy Saturday to you. We are all eager to catch up on what happened yesterday and continue our interview. So let's get started.
T. Good morning, and welcome back to Tonk's Talk. Today, we are picking up where we left off due to unforeseen circumstances. I apologize for the abrupt ending yesterday, but Daddy bolted for the door once the chaos started, and it was everyone for themselves. Daddy finally had to intervene when Obi, wearing his pirate gear, was forcing Kajagoogoo to walk the plank, which happened to be off the roof and into the pond. (looks at Kaja and smiles warmly) we will send some ice packs and extra bandages when you head home, dear. ( Kaja Blushes and offers thanks). (Tonks looks at Obi and, with just the slightest twitch of amusement on her lips, says) Now that we have taken care of that and my brother seems to be out of shenanigans, let's hop back into the interview.
T. (Smiling warmly at everyone, Tonks starts) Yesterday, when we stopped, we just started to talk about what we all enjoyed. (Glances at Amber) Amber, let's start off with you. What are some of your favorite activities? And why are you not still exhausted. I know you are still young, but hanging from the ceiling lights?
Amb. (She chuckles as she reads her screen, then looks up) I don't know where I get all this energy. I surprise my daddy with energy and try to do as much as possible to give Sid and Annie workouts.
T. Alas, I have been accused of excess energy here as well. The way I look at it, having more energy allows me to do more things and enjoy life more. I encourage the others here, but they ignore me.
Amb. It's the same at our place. Kaja suggested I get Annie to exercise. (Kaja's ears droop slightly.) Kaja said she really needed to exercise so she could lose weight, so I just took it a step further and included Sid. He is prob lazier than Annie.
T. (Tonks glances at the others with an apologetic smile) I am sure they both appreciate you for it. (Tonks winks at the others and looks back at Amber)
Amb. I think they each enjoy it. (Annie bites her lip, and Sid looks about ready to burst). Then, of course, some of my favorite activities would be playing with my brother and sister, Soupies. I love soupie time, and my daddy makes the best kind. I like checking everything out and ensuring nothing is in the wrong place. Finally, pickle juice; I really like Pickle juice. (Looks over at Sid and Annie with adoration in her eyes) Sid and Annie. They are my favorites. (Sid and Annie both avoid her eyes, and it looks like they are searching for a way to sneak out.)
T. (touches a tissue to her eyes and sniffs) That is simply darling, you sweet young girl. That is a charming answer. ( looks at Annie) Miss Annie, how might you be today?
A. (Blushes but is thankful to have moved on from Amber, then giggling, she begins). Oh, you know. A little sore today. Been a long time since I've done some of that stuff, and if Daddy knew how high we were up in the trees last night (sighs), I just don't know what he would do.
T. Last night definitely rivaled some of Obi's best adventures (her eyes wince as she notices Obi pridefully puff up a little). So, what would be some of your favorite activities?
A. ( Face brightens) I LOVE my fans. So naturally, I am always trying new outfits and props that my fans would enjoy. No matter how dorky and embarrassing some of the items my daddy brings home to use for props. I still love doing it to please my fans. I really don't like to play with toys, although there is one jingle ball I like. Oh, and bubble envelopes. (Blushes) I have a thing for bubble envelopes.
T. nothing wrong with that, dear. We all have special items. ( Looks over at Sid, who has managed to curl up in his chair and is about to doze off) Sid, How about you? How are you feeling today, and what are some of your favorite activities?
S. (clears throat and sits up). I'm a little tired. I'm kinda bummed that we didn't get to test my trajectory figures of Kaja's flight and landing. I was aiming for a spot right between two boulders in the pond.
T. Good thing, too; what if you had been wrong?
S. (Sid looks back with an "Are you an idiot" look). Wrong? I'm never wrong.
T. ( clears her throat politely) That was probably a bad choice of words. What if someone distracted you and caused you to lose focus for a second and mess up a number?
S. (looks pensive and nods) I see what you are saying, and yes, that is possible; since we were making decisions pretty fast, you are probably right that it was best your daddy intervened. ( sighs) To answer your other question, I really love to think. I'm a profound thinker. Even though these guys think I'm aloof, I am easily the smartest. I often lie about contemplating things like the moon being made with cheese or seedless watermelons. Erroneous ideas such as that.
T. Impressive. Do you get your ideas down on paper and publish them? (Annie rolls her eyes and lets out a small snort)
S. All the time, well, I write them down whenever I have them. ( Annie butts in).
A. Which seems to be whenever I am trying to sleep! (She crosses her front legs and sits back.)
S. You can't schedule greatness; it shows up whenever it wants. (Sid smiles at his cleverness.)
A. (Looks at Sid with disdain.) Why don't you just go dunk your nose in more Worstsh%&shire sauce?
Amb (laughing): You said a bad word.
T. That's okay; that's why we have the button. (They all laugh.) Do you enjoy any other activities?
S. (thoughtfully) Because I am such a long ferret, at least longer than anyone else at the house. I like to explore places others can't get to. Daddy had to get a special trashcan since I could reach the top of the old one. (Smiles as he thinks of that time) Writing out my stories takes a lot of time. Daddy won't let me publish my work; that is very frustrating. Dad and I occasionally get into a minor discourse over the subject because I need an outlet. I always tell him the same thing, and those rules have never changed. The primary is food and sleep. The secondary is exploration. Great minds must be challenged. Tertiary is releasing my cognition. Other than that, I mostly enjoy soggifying crocheted eggs.
T. (Glances protectively towards her stash of crocheted eggs, frowns, looks back, and smiles). Well, I hope you guys can come to a compromise. I understand the need to have an outlet. (Puts on a more somber face) All of you feel free to answer this next one whenever. These past few months have been rough; how have you all coped with the stress?
A. Some of us managed better than others (Looks lovingly at Sid). It has been a little challenging. First, there was my medical scare, and then Daddy got really sick.
T. (looking concerned) I can see that you are okay. How is your daddy, and what happened?
A. (smiles) We are both better now. For me, it was my spleen. For so long, everyone just thought I was fat, but it turns out that I just had an enlarged spleen. So they shaved my tummy, and I had stitches for a while, but the hair has mostly grown back in.
T. That must have been horrible. I'm so glad the Vet was able to remove the spleen. How is your daddy recovering?
A. He is doing much better now. But that was a very confusing and scary time. One day, things were normal, and then the next, we left to stay with someone else, and our daddy went to the hospital. I knew he would get better, but Sid almost wasn't okay. He thought Daddy had left us and stopped eating. (looks sadly at Sid) I was worried that I might lose Daddy and Sid).
T. The trauma. I'm so sorry you guys endured that. But Sid, I bet you were glad to see your papa.
S. As Annie mentioned, (sighs) it was a tough time for me. I just couldn't think about eating. All I could think of was, "Where is my daddy"? Finally, after a while, the lady we were staying with held me and made me eat a few times a day. I still remember when Daddy came. I was so happy. I had missed him so much.
T. What a fantastic story you three have and the things you have all gone through. I am so happy that many negatives are behind, and I am especially happy your daddy is well again. So, It's time for my favorite question, and I ask this to everyone who comes on the show. Annie, I'll start with you. If you could be anything for a day, what would you be?
A. (deep in thought) I wouldn't want to be a bunny because they are stupid. (Kaja's ears droop). But I wouldn't get pickle juice or be held by Dad if I were a horse or a dolphin, so I guess I would just be me. Besides, I have fans.
T. That is a lovely answer. Sounds like you have a wonderful home. Amber, same question?
Amb. I want to be a rhinoceros so I can stab people. (all sound ceases, and everyone stares at Amber).
T. That's an interesting choice. Sid, let's jump into your answer? What would you be?
S. (puts on a thoughtful expression). I don't know. I mean, I have it pretty made as a ferret, but I guess I would choose to be a squirrel if I had to choose. They get to be outside all day in the grass, climb trees, and fight with birds. Plus, they are getting handouts in the park all day. The good stuff, too, like pizza, fries, and peanuts.
A. (Annie chokes) Disgusting fare, and it shouldn't be eaten.
O. (clears throat), Excuse me, Tonks?
T. (with a puzzled look) Yes?
O. There are hundreds of people outside asking for autographs.
S. (sighs and stands) I have lots of fans. They are probably mine. I should head out there.
O. Sorry, Sid, but they aren't asking for you.
Amb. They are obviously here to see me and my lovely jazz hands.
O. (coughs and then smiles) Sorry, Miss.
A. ( Smiles widely and gets up as Obi comes in her direction, but excitement turns to confusion and then rage when Obi passes and goes to Kajagoogoo)
O. Kaja, would you like to meet your fans? (in the background, Annie can be heard screaming Kajagoogoos name, followed by Sid screaming No!)
T. (looking rushed) Well, that's all the time we have this week on Tonks Talk. Thank you so much to Sid, Annie, Amber, and Kaja for joining us on the show. Join us next week for more exciting adventures of Tonks Talk. Take care.
Nymphadora.
