Round table with Remus, Obi, and Sadie.

Welcome, I'm Remus. Today the ladies have a special show planned. Since you have all met Meg and Tilly, we felt it was time you got to know me, Obi, and Sadie. So I talked daddy into running the board, and Meg put on her special vest so she could deliver refreshments. Let's get started.

Remus (Superman) Lupin

Tonks. Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to today's Tonks Talk episode, where you meet a new friend or two every few weeks. Today we will talk with three more characters that have a hand in many of our adventures. First though. Mina, welcome, and how are you?

Mina. Thank you for the warm welcome. I am feeling absolutely fabulous and excited to get today's show going. Although, I have to say that I am a little worried about Daddy having control of the program.

T. Now that you brought that up, I have the same anxiety. I also notice that Daddy found a questionable picture of Remus. (sigh) I just can't wait to see what he has of us.

Nikola (Teeny) Tesla

M. Looks like Daddy is just going to be sharing whatever he wants. But since he threw it up there, Teeny plays a role in many stories. Usually, it involves him needing to be rescued.

T. Do you remember when Obi changed his mind about dropping anchor?

M. (Mina's eyes glow with curiosity) That was from before I lived here, but I must know what happened.

T. This was during the adventure when Mordechai's kids were here, and we went on another Pirate raid. I won't tell the story now, but Obi yelled to drop anchor as we were sailing. He thought we were off course and wanted to take a bit to realign. As Teeny had let go of the anchor, Tilly hollered down from the crow's nest that our destination was just ahead. Instead of just waiting till it hit bottom and bringing it back up, Teeny grabbed the rope and went overboard. Unfortunately, the rope caught about his ankles when he scrambled, and we had to rescue him.

M. (With a shocked look.) Was he ok?

T. (with a big grin, answers) He was fine. It was nothing like when he got stuck trying to sneak out of the port hole.

(Both girls laugh for a moment.)

M. Maybe we should get started before Daddy distracts us with something else. So today, Tonks and I decided to do things differently and let you meet Obi, Sadie, and Remus all at once.

T. We figured the best way to do that would be to just sit down together and have a conversation. So I'll get us started with Obi. Obi, why don't you start with your age, how long you lived here, and maybe something about yourself.

Obi (The Legend) Boo Ferret

Obi. First, I'd like to thank both of you for having me, and second, you know I'll never give away my age. I'm not sure where Daddy found that photo, but I'm sure it's ancient. I would say that picture even looks older than Daddy, and I'm not sure how old he is.

Remus. (Clears throat.) Daddy will be Fifty-Three in a few weeks.

(You can hear a pin drop as everyone turns to stare at Remus)

Remus. (Shrugging) I like to read, and you guys did make me the official historian. I assumed that meant it was also my job to know everything about Mommy, Daddy, cats, horses, and all of us.

T. (Looks back and forth between Obi and Sadie.) At least someone else around here takes their job seriously. (Obi looks back wounded while Sadie puts on a more "Surely you aren't talking about me" face.)

R. If you would like, I could clarify Obi's age for everyone. (Obi looks over at Remus, shaking his head no, and begging. this brings laughter from the gang, and Tonks comes to Obi's rescue.)

T. That's ok, Remus, we will let "The Legend" have his silly secrecy. (Obi sighs with relief and everyone laughs again.)

O. (looking relieved) Now that we got that cleared up. I can't give away how long I've been here (Glances at Remus to keep him quiet.), but I have been here the longest. I would like to point out that I don't think it's fair that I have been labeled a scoundrel and troublemaker. After all, I don't force anyone to participate in any adventures that Sadie and I undertake.

M. (Looking irritated That's right, you don't directly force us to participate, You just indirectly force us to participate by doing things like filling the house up with water and leaving us no choice but to join in your hair-brained schemes or drown! (Mina gets quiet as she looks around and sees everyone staring at her, and Obi is Laughing.)

(Mina slumps in her chair as Tonks reaches over and puts a paw on her shoulder.)

T. (gives Obi a dirty glance.) That is another excellent example of why we have called you such things. So don't pay him any heed, Sis. Remus, Why don't you go next.

Remus. (Smiling and wearing a small pair of glasses, Remus looks down at his tablet, then back up at everyone and begins.) I would also like to thank you for having me today. Feels so different being on this side of the glass as I usually operate the soundboard. My name is Remus Winston Lupin. I am about a year and a half old and considered a panda in color. I am also primarily deaf, so I have this nifty tablet that translates what people say so I can keep up with a conversation. I can also do much of my research on it, though I prefer my desktop with all the different screens. The desktop I use is a.

(Remus goes quiet as Mina kicks him under the table to get him to shut up.)

R. (blushing, Remus starts.) Let me guess, I was beginning to ramble.

T. (Giggling.) To be honest, you were rambling at full speed and almost out of control.

(Everyone, including Remus, is laughing by the time Tonks is finished speaking.)
Wilhelmina Tulip (Mina)
Easily triggered

M. We clearly should have hired a producer to sit in for Remus. Giving Daddy control was a big mistake.
Sadie looks like it's your turn.

Sadie. Thank you guys for having me. My name is Sadie, and I am about 6 years old. I am a Silver Sable in color, and I have white jazz paws. I have also lived here for much of the last five-and-a-half years.

T. (With a confused look, Tonks interrupts Sadie.) Sorry to interrupt, but do you mean to say that you have lived elsewhere while living here?

S. That's precisely what I did. I used to belong to Daddy's daughter. She was in college then, and ferrets aren't easy pets to keep. So She asked Daddy the last time I stayed with them if I could stay there permanently.

O. (In a whispered voice, Obi replies to Sadie.) I bet it didn't help that you ate her friend's hamster.

(Both Remus and Mina look up, giggling after reading what Obi had said on their tablets. Tonks who didn't quite hear looks up and replies.)

T. I'm sorry, what was that, Obi?

(With a Giggle, Mina shakes her head at Tonks. Tonks changes the subject.

T. Who would like to lead off with their favorite activity?

O. (Raises his paw.) I'll go first. Mine has to be watching scary movies with daddy. The second would be dressing up as a pirate or ninja.

Nymphadora Arwen Tonks
Bitey Mcpherson

M. (laughing) Maybe we can get Mommy to work the soundboard.
Do you have any scary movies that you like more than the others?

O. (Looking pensive) Hmm, either the Friday the 13th series or Nightmare on Elm st. My Favorite Scary movie is probably Jaws

R. I don't see much horror film use, but I love documentaries and sci-fi. (Obi rolls his eyes, and both Tonks and Sadie laugh.)

M. You just ignore them, Remus. I know for a fact that Obi and Arwen watch cooking shows with Daddy. What are your favorites?

R. (Looking reassured.) Before I mention the movies, I would like to say that My respect for you and  Tonks has significantly risen. I never understood how difficult it was to think under pressure from being recorded on air.

(Both Tonks and Mina giggle at this comment. Arwen speaks up.)

T. Remus, I appreciate the compliment but can't take it fully without pointing out that it took time to be totally comfortable. If you listened to some of the older tapes, you would see many examples of our nerves getting the best of us. There is a lot to be said about knowing the content beforehand also. Remember your confidence five minutes ago when talking about your tablet and computer?

M. I like to push back at the pressure. I like the challenge and am so eager to learn about the other person that excitement always takes over.

R. (with a stunned expression) I had no idea how much went into hosting and making guests feel welcome. Thank you for each of your insights. One of my favorite Sci-fi Movies is Dune. I was able to watch it with Mommy. My favorite Sci-fi series is Star Wars.
(Suddenly, Remus gets a triumphant look and turns to Obi.) How dare you pick on me for watching Sci-fi. You watch Star wars with daddy almost every month, and then you also watch fantasy. I've seen you watching Lord of the Rings with Mommy before.

(Everyone laughs at Remus's outburst as he is usually quiet. Obi blushes and looks at the clock.)

O. Aren't we going to run over on time?

M. We have just enough time for one more question. Remus, what about books? Do you have a favorite author or even several?

R. Frank Herbert, L.E. Modesitt Jr., Stephen King.  Really too many to name.

(Obi coughs and mutters something under his breath, and Remus sticks his tongue out. They both Laugh.)

T. Thanks for joining us, everyone, but that's all we have time for this evening. Join us next week on Tonks Talk for the continuation of our Round Table with Remus.

(The mics get left on, and the conversation continues for a few seconds until Remus notices and kills the power.)

T. Next week, I will see if Mommy will produce the show. If not, I will hire someone.

M. Daddy is hopeless when it comes to acting like an adult!.

T. We should have listened to
