Round table with Remus, Obi, and Sadie. Part 2

Good day. I am Serena, the producer, and welcome to this week's episode of Tonks Talk. Last week our hosts started a discussion with Remus, Obi, and Sadie. Today, we join our hosts as they continue that conversation. First, I would like to present your hosts, the lovely Miss Tonks and the equally stunning Miss Mina.

Magnus (Meg)
Caterer

Tonks. (Looking quite impressed) Serena, thank you very much for that amazingly professional intro. I think it is safe to say we are in competent hands again. Remus, I hope you can relax this week by not having Daddy in the control room. Mina that is a lovely outfit today. What do you call it again?

Mina. (with a giggle.) Silver Sable, you silly. The same coat I wear every day. I can't agree more about things feeling friendly and relaxed this week. I hope Daddy wasn't too upset about being replaced.

Obi. Tonks lied to him. She told Daddy we were just messing around today but that we would film the show tomorrow. I can't wait to see his face tomorrow.

(Remus glances down and acts like he is writing notes. Sadie chuckles while Mina looks at a blushing Tonks.)

M. Aren't you worried about being in trouble? Do you think Daddy is going to be angry when he finds out?

T. (Still blushing slightly, Tonks replies.) He might be proud of my lie, going off how he behaves when Obi does something clever. He thinks Serena is a Tech installing a new sound system and board. It's not a complete lie. The cables for the soundboard are new?

(While everyone is laughing about Tonks' slyness, Obi looks at Tonks with newfound respect.)

O. You've done well, young padawan. But, always include a little truth so you can look cute and pass the rest off as not wanting to bother Daddy. He falls for it every time.

Sadie. It's Mommy you have to watch out for. Once she catches on, she gets after Daddy, which turns him on us.

T. So, are you saying that it is Mommy's fault you get into trouble cause that's how that sounded. Name one time you didn't deserve the punishment that was handed down?

S. I'm not saying I never deserved it, just pointing out that it doesn't often happen when Mommy isn't home.

M. If you are suggesting a hit-ferret for Mommy, I want nothing to do with it.

(To everyone's relief, Sadie quickly interjects.) But, of course, that isn't what I meant at all. It's just that we should pay closer attention to the schedule when planning our shenanigans.

(A hesitant yet relieved laughter breaks forth and gets a little stronger once Sadie joins in. Tonks and Mina each watch Sadie trying to see if she was joking or not.)

(Shady) Sadie
The Planner

(There is a slight pause as Meg comes in with refreshments and says that Daddy wants to know how the new soundboard is running. Everyone looks at Tonks, who smiles and says, "Super, we should be done messing around soon. We are probably going to move the next episode to next weekend.")

(Obi grins as he realizes Tonks is trapped and is about to say something when she speaks up instead.)

T. Well, Remus, it looks like you get that new soundboard after all. Thank you, Meg, for the heads up. I'll talk to Daddy after the show and let him know we recorded this week's episode and that he can help Remus next week so he can learn the new board.

M. I feel bad. We should have just told Daddy that he wasn't cut out to be the producer. I'll go with you, Tonks.

(As Mina and Tonks, eyes meet, their bond can be felt strongly throughout the room. Finally, Remus speaks up and says he should do most of the talking since he is the producer. Finally, they nod at each other, and the show resumes.)

T. Last week, we closed up talking to Remus about his favorite books and movies. So, Sadie, why don't you go next. What are some of your favorite movies and books?

S. I would have to say that the Godfather series is one of my favorites. Pulp fiction and Reservoir Dogs are also a couple other gems. For comedy, I think I liked Pulp fiction. I don't read much, but I enjoyed the Dexter Series and some books Stephen King wrote as Richard Bachman. I also like true Gangster novels.

R. Do you like any Disney or positive feeling movies?

S. Not really, as far as Disney is concerned, but there are some true crime shows I enjoy. I guess I enjoyed the reboot of Battlestar Galactica. Starbuck was a badass.

M. I also loved that show, but I was a Boomer fan. Plus, I thought the Master Chief was hot!

(Mina Blushes when she realizes that she said that on the air. Then, as everyone starts to laugh, Tonks asks what other movies and shows Mina Likes.)

M. I Love the Harry Potter series, and I have been watching a different one each night with Daddy. Tonight we are watching The Goblet of Fire. I also enjoy watching Disney movies with Mommy. I love the Agent Pendergast books done by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. What about you, Tonks, What are some of your favorites?

Wicket (Little)
Littlest weasel

(Before Tonks can reply. However, she notices Wicket's Picture appear on the screen, and tears form in her eyes.)

T. When Daddy brought me home, he said I was to do everything Wicket said and learn everything she knew because she cared for everyone.

M. (With a warm smile, Mina replies.) I am sure she would be proud of you. You seem to have learned everything, including attacking Mommy while she is asleep.

(This brings a fresh round of laughter from around the room. Then, as a Picture of Ben appears on the screen, without a word, everyone raises their glasses of Salmon oil in salute and takes a sip to Wicket and Ben.)

Benson (Gentle Ben)
Little Dragon

(After a moment of silence, Obi stands and leads one last toast.)

O. Dance and Dook in peace till we meet again, brother and sister.

(Everyone takes a sip and sits back down. Tonks Starts answering Mina's question.)

T. (wipes her eyes and speaks) I also love the Harry Potter movies, Rogue One,  and Episode IX. However, I think my favorite books are the Mockingjay  Series. I also enjoy many scary books Preston and Child have written, like Thunderhead and The Relic.

M. I enjoyed several of those other novels. Glad you remembered them. Rogue One always makes me cry at the end.

T. Me too, which is another reason I really like it. I just get so wrapped up in that movie. Ok, next question for everyone. Favorite type of food? I just like the kibbles. Once in a while, I will have some soupie, and I love any treats, but just the kibble for food.

M. I prefer the soupie. I also love it when I can get to the cat's morning food. It's canned, and I absolutely love it, but Mommy and Daddy usually keep it away from me. Remus, what about you?

R. I prefer the soupie but also enjoy a bit of kibble. An egg is nice, as are the chew sticks. I also like some of the soft cookies.

O. I seem to go through phases. Sometimes all I want is soupie, and sometimes, I won't touch the stuff. I also like eggs and soft cookies.

(Everyone looks expectantly at Sadie as if they know what she will say.)

S. (Blushes and laughs.) Alright, you got me. I eat it all. Soupie, kibble, cat kibble, canned cat food, chew sticks, hard and soft cookies. Oh yeah, I even like the cat treats. (Tonks facepaws and looks down. Mina looks back in wonderment while Remus and Obi laugh.)

M. I know why Mommy and Daddy keep all the treats above the fridge.

O. I once was able to climb onto the fridge. Daddy figured it out and made it closer to the wall. Now I can't fit up the back. (Obi looks over at Tonks and speaks.) Wicket taught me how to do it. (Obi next looks at Sadie.) I remember that you used to be quite the climber as well.

S. (With a big smile) I preferred the top shelf in the closet. But, somehow, Daddy always knew when I got up there and found me before I could get into anything. (everyone laughs.)

R. (With a straight face, Remus speaks up. That's because he knows Mommy will kill him if anything happens to us. (This brings a fresh round of laughter. Finally, after a moment, Mina speaks up.)

M. We have time for one more question today. Tonks, why don't you go first this time. What is your favorite activity?

T. That's a tough question. No wonder you kept it secret. I like hanging out with Daddy and giving him a bath. He always gives me a good scratch-down afterward, but I think my favorite activity is chasing the cats. Except for Piper, Mommy and Daddy won't let me chase Piper. They said she is too old and cats aren't built like ferrets.

R. Mommy and Daddy are correct. She is old, and she has arthritis. She is almost 15 and doesn't get around very well anymore. So it isn't fair that she gets picked on, Especially with Meg and Teeny to go after instead.

M. I guess I understand that. So Remus, Why don't you go next?

R. I would have to say that reading is one of my favorite activities, as is collecting toys. I think I enjoy wrestling about as much as any ferret.

(Mina claps with excitement.)

M. I love these kinds of questions. Sadie, what is your favorite activity?

S. I think my favorite activity is hanging out in the scratchy hammock with either Mommy or Daddy giving me a full-body scratch down. My second favorite activity is chasing the cats. (this brings some laughter from around the table.)

M. Obi, What about you?

O. I don't know that I have a particular favorite activity. I have several: wrestling, biting Daddy's feet while he is getting in the shower, chasing the cats, hoarding toys, chasing Tonks, hanging out with Mommy, watching movies, sailing a pirate ship, and I enjoy the scratchy hammock.

M. That is quite the list. For me, I think soupie time is one of my favorite activities. I probably like playing with my rubber balls the most, especially the ones that light up. I also enjoy wrestling with Tonks.

T. Mina, that was an excellent question, and unfortunately, the last one we have time for today. I would like to thank everyone for making it to the show again, and I can't wait till next week when we wrap up the round table sessions. I would also like to thank our fans who tune in for the show, and I hope to see you all next week. My last thank you goes to Serena for stepping in and doing a fantastic job on the soundboard. I'm looking forward to seeing you when we install the new soundboard this week.

Goodnight, everyone, and take care.
